Breakdance is a highly energetic style that combines the core strength of a gymnast with the athletic power of a sprinter. Led by our specialist instructor, Theo Farmsin, these dynamic classes focus on improving coordination, building physical strength, and mastering rhythm.

The Four Pillars of Breakdance
Our classes build a well rounded technical foundation by focusing on four essential movement:
~ Toprock: Footwork performed standing up, establishing the dancer’s rhythm and personal style.
~ Downrock: Floor based footwork and movement using the hands, feet, and torso to navigate the ground.
~ Power Moves: Highly athletic, acrobatic spins and momentum based tricks that showcase raw physical power.
~ Freezes: Striking, stylish poses suspended completely off the ground using intense core control.

Why Choose Our Breakdance Classes?
Athletic Fitness: Children improve their upper body strength, core stability, and overall cardiovascular endurance.
Creative Freedom: This style celebrates individuality. Students are encouraged to “make the moves their own.”
Confidence & Expression: Every lesson offers dedicated time for improvisation, allowing dancers to build self expression and social confidence.
Step by Step Progress: Every child can progress comfortably at their own pace.
Our doors are open to everyone, regardless of skill level or starting ability. Come along to learn incredible athletic tricks and discover how to fuse them with music!

Students have the opportunity to perform in our annual dance showcase and have opportunities to attend professional breakdancing workshops in Wigan, Manchester, and St Helens.
