You may see some older dancers helping out in the younger classes. These are paid position teachers who are in training to become fully comprehensive teachers in the future. The positions are offered from 13 years onwards and assistants work closely with Miss King in admin and class assisting.

Maddison Maloney
After joining King's in 2020 on zoom, Maddison successfully auditioned for Rare Studios, Shockout, Preston's College Dance, Liverpool Theatre School & Jelli studios before deciding that teaching was the pathway for her. Now, she's on an apprenticeship during the day and working. She is teaching and assisting dance at a number of dance schools around preston. She is very popular with our students!

I have been attending Kings for about four years now. What I love most is the incredible range of opportunities we get, like dancing at London's O2 Arena and getting to perform in Las Vegas later this year! I also take part in PEP (Professional Extension Programme). Every week, we learn a completely new style of dance. I love how PEP builds our versatility, which will really support us if we want to try new things in the future. On top of that, I assistant teach introductory Ballet, Tap, and Modern. Helping the little ones is so rewarding and gives me the experience for my dream of becoming a professional dancer or teacher.

Halle Dixon
I’m currently at college studying Health and Social BTEC extended diploma. I am unsure of what i want to do after college but I’m considering working in cabin crew or doing an apprenticeship. When I first started at Kings I attended Street, Lyrical and Jazz classes. I have competed in competitions as well as helping out at them, which I really enjoyed! I am going to be assisting Miss Poppy on a Saturday morning with Tiny Tumblers, Street and Cheer. You may also see me at future competitions and shows helping out! I love working 1-1 with students and helping them achieve their individual goals each week in and out.
