Meet the Dance Teaching Assistants

You may see some older dancers helping out in the younger classes. These are paid position teachers who are in training to become fully comprehensive teachers in the future. The positions are offered from 13 years onwards and assistants work closely with Miss King in admin and class assisting.

Miss POPPY

Poppy is currently studying A-Levels alongside working towards her teaching qualification in ISTD Modern. She has recently taken on the role of teaching some of our younger street dance classes as she became more and more passionate about the genre. Poppy has an excellent rapport with the students, who all absolutely love her. Poppy started dancing with King’s in 2020.

Miss EMILY

Emily is currently in her third and final year at Preston’s College Dance where she’ll be taking her teaching qualifications in ISTD Ballet, Tap & Modern. Soon, Emily will also be doing the Teaching Assistant Qualification through Acrobatic Arts. Emily assists every Friday in the Acrobatic Classes, having taken exams in it herself she’s extremely knowledgeable in the subject, which she passes onto the students she teaches.

Miss Maddie

Maddie is going into her first year of a Professional Dance Course at College. Maddie recently started assisting with us and has flourished in her role, she loves learning how to teach children and really engages with them. Maddie is very popular with our students!
