“Millie started at Kings Dance Academy 6 months ago and she absolutely loves going to her classes! She settled in straight away which is unusual for her as she can be very clingy and any other classes I have taken too she hasn’t shown much interest. “My daughter joined Kings in September 2022, as a shy 8 year old who wanted to try out dance classes for the first time. She started with street dance and musical theatre classes as well as acro/tumbling but over the months has grown and grown and now attends Lyrical, Modern and Team dance classes too. Since then, she has auditioned and been placed onto two teams within King’s – Diamonds Street Competition Team and the Performance Team.
The opportunities that King’s has given my daughter over the last two years have been unreal. She has danced and placed in many competitions, danced for poorly children at Alder Hey hospital at Christmas, as well as plenty of Christmas markets, field days and lights switch ons. Miss King has taken her performance team to dance at Drayton Manor and Alton Towers which was so much fun for all.
There have been medal tests, ISTD exams, summer schools, work shops, awards ceremonies to name a few but most recently my daughter starred a lead role in Shrek the Musical which was produced by Miss King. It was amazing and the confidence I saw shine from my daughter as she took to the stage was such an overwhelming feeling and I have got Miss King and her wonderful teachers to thank for that.
If you are looking for an academy where all parents and teachers are approachable and friendly, and you feel more like a dance family then this is the one for you.
I drive 30 minutes away 4x a week for my daughter to attend this academy and will continue to do so as she progresses because I genuinely believe there isn’t a better school out there that is as friendly, welcoming and has such great opportunities for the children. There is a huge variety of different classes and they do offer classes for adults too. I can’t wait to see what more comes from my daughter as she grows with Kings.”

“My daughter started here as the pandemic hit, Miss King persisted with zoom classes, with passion and care for each and every child, encouraging them in anyway possible. Times were really difficult but the zoom classes put on for the children were something Gabriella looked forward to every week and it gave her a sense of routine.
She continued dancing without hesitation when things opened back up and started attending face to face classes, making more friends other than the school environment, firming up friendship ready built from the zoom interaction. Friendships that all shared the same common ground – a love of dance.
Gabriella has gained so much from the classes she attends, a wider friendship gained and the family feel at King’s is a lovely environment for any child, of all abilities, ages and background.
